HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU SLEPT WITH?

The average British person sleeps with 2.8M people……………..well, indirectly.  According to Lloyds Pharmacy ‘Sex Degrees of Separation’ calculator, which has used data from 6,000 British adults.  The findings are based on the average British male sleeping with a total of nine partners and an average British female, 6.3 (obviously the seventh was a little under the average size).  Entering their total number of partners and their age range, the calculator “uses its database to work out how many previous partners people within that age range have had on an average”. 

This research all stemmed from the film trivia game ‘Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon‘, where players tried to link any actor, living or dead to the Footloose actor within six films.  For example, it was found that Dame Judi Dench can be linked to Kevin Bacon in two steps, having played ‘M’ in The World Is Not Enough with Denise Richards who appeared with Bacon in Wild Things. 

So, it’s simple – just apply this rule to your personal life and Bob’s your uncle – and he could well be if you’ve put it around enough.
