Amy Reid was born in Germany to an American military family stationed overseas, But grew up in southern California as an “army brat” living on-base.

Amy spent two years studying mechanical engineering, but as she relates: "After high school, I went to college and was working two part time jobs. So I would wake up at 5 AM, go to one job, then go to school, then go to the other job, then go home and do homework and get three hours of sleep every night.”  “..It was a lot of work and was hard for me to stay focused. So to work that hard and not have a good job to look forward too didn’t seem okay to me. I would wake up so exhausted. It was too much to handle on my own, plus I was in a bad relationship."  Opportunity came knocking in the form of a chance meeting at a party where a stranger approached her and told her she was really pretty and she could make some big money doing porn. 

Ms. Reid is widely regarded as “the best all-natural body in the business”, sporting natural double ‘D’s a super narrow 23” waist and a beautiful round ass. Her ability to bring her ample natural assets to bear is legendary, but having always been something of a tomboy growing up she claims it never occurred to her that she had a good body  but when she went to her first casting call and took her clothes off, she was instantly booked for an entire month!

Amy’s found the most daunting aspect of having sex on screen to be her inexperience.  She insists that she had only had sex with two people prior to entering porn, though since then she’s certainly made up for lost time, starring in 214 titles thus far, though she’s careful to pick her spots for maximum effect, or as she puts it: “You can’t flood the gates.. You can’t be everywhere. It’s just like how singers release albums. If someone releases an album every other month people would get bored of them."  In keeping with her management of her “brand”, unlike many other starlets who appear in porno movies for many different studios, Amy instead chose to become a contract star In October 2007 for Third Degree Films. Then in October 2009 when her contract was up, she signed an exclusive deal with New Sensations for whom she also directed a couple of features as well.  More recently she opened her own production company, Riedemption Productions.

Amy’s work has netted her a number of awards.  She won a 2007 F.A.M.E. Award for “Favorite Female Rookie”, 2007 AVN awards for “Best Anal Sex Scene” for “Breakin' 'Em In #9” and “Best Tease Performance” for “My Plaything: Amy Ried”, and a 2010 AVN award for “Best Couples Sex Scene” in “30 Rock: A XXX Parody”.
