Sunny posed for Penthouse magazine when she was 21 and became Pet of the Month for March of 2001. She also posed for Hustler and was in their 2001 Holiday edition. She was subsequently named Penthouse Pet of the Year for 2003. Later in 2003 she signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment and this was how she started making the transition from softcore to hardcore porn movies. Most of Sunny's earliest works were lesbian scenes but in 2007 she had her first fuck scene with Matt Erikson in the film "Sunny Loves Matt" which earned three AVN award nominations.

 

In 2008 Sunny Leone began working with other male performers and in the summer she announced the launch of Sunlust Pictures. The company is a production studio that she opened with Daniel Weber and she produces and directs. The first film called "The Dark Side of the Sun" was released in the second quarter of 2009. The studio has produced more than 45 films as of this writing.

 

Ms. Leone has been very busy inside and out of the adult industry. Performing and producing adult films is only part of her activities. She has travelled the country working in the Vivid Comedy Tour and has had her vagina molded into a sex toy. She was a reporter for MTV India and also appeared in a music video for Ja Rule's song "Livin’ It Up." She recently co hosted the AVN awards along with fellow pornstar Bree Olson.

 

Still an active producer, director and performer, Sunny has been asked to appear in Bollywood productions although she hasn't signed any deals yet. Her popularity is high and she's likely to be seen on and off the web in different roles as she continues to work hard on her career in both adult and mainstream projects.
