About Tera Patrick

Exotic stunner Tera Patrick was born in July of 1976 to a Thai mother and a Caucasian-American father of Dutch and English decent.  When Tera was still quite young, her family moved to San Francisco and her mother returned to Thailand shortly thereafter, leaving Tera to be raised by her father, a US Army doctor.

While still a young teen, Tera was discovered by a Japanese professional photographer while she was hanging around at Fisherman’s Wharf, one of the city’s biggest tourist attractions.  As it turned out the photographer was employed by Morning Sun Modeling, an international division of the famous Ford Modeling Agency.  She soon was signed to an exclusive modeling contract with Ford and spent the next five years bouncing between the fashion capitals of the world doing runway and print work.  As her body matured and she became curvier and curvier her fashion and runway gigs started to dry up and she took the opportunity the slump in her career provided to attend college where she earned an AAS Degree in Nursing as well as a BS in Biology.
After finishing her studies, Tera did some nursing work around Northern California, but she felt the pull to reenter the world of glamour she had left behind.  As she was now way too voluptuous to do fashion or runway work Tera started doing bikini modeling which led to nude modeling after she was told by several photographers she was working with that she could be a real star.  Tera went to an open call for Playboy models, competing with over a thousand woman centerfold hopefuls and at the end of the day, Tera had not only made the magazine but her engaging personality landed her a gig on Playboy TV, where she hosted “Night Calls 411” from 2000 to 2003.
Tera went on to appear on the cover of nearly every major adult magazine including Hustler, Swank, High Society, Cheri and Club Magazine and was the first and so far, only woman to simultaneously be the covergirl for both Playboy and Penthouse Magazines in the same month.  She was also the first pornstar to grace the cover of mainstream mens’ magazine FHM, later becoming the UK edition’s on staff “sexpert” authoring an advice column within the publication.
Ms. Patrick has appeared in over 115 titles to date, which while not a great deal of films for a pornstar, resulted in extraordinary industry acclaim with nearly two dozen trophy wins at the industry’s major award shows.  In 2009 Tera was inducted into AVN’s Hall of Fame.
Tera again hosted a show for Playboy starting in 2008 entitled “School of Sex” and while she no longer appears on-camera in sexual roles that often, she remains active in the industry through her roles as an author, masthead publisher of Genesis Magazine, her website and numerous public appearances including hosting the 2013 XBIZ Awards.
